4th January 2007 - The original plan was to go for a fairly straight forward square(ish) MDF box for the sub but after seeing many custom fabricated fibreglass boxes being made on the Talk Audio forum I thought why not give it a go to help with the subtle and small install. The favoured supplier of choice on the forum is CFS so an order was placed for the relevant items... at this time it's hard to know if I've got enough or even too much but it will be a case of giving it a go and see how it comes out! 19th December 2007 -The original plan was to go for a pair of small 8" subs but again the advice on Talk Audio helped no end in discovering the Elemental Desgisn SQ10 shallow mount 10" subwoofer. This sub has an amazingly shallow depth of just 3" and has a big following in the United States with some good results. So, with the goal being to keep as much boot space as possible it seemed to make perfect sense to try this super shallow sub out, especially when it can be used in an enclosure as small as 0.3cf!
