19th December 2007 - I settled on the DLS Ultimate A5 amplifer after reading up on some Sound Quality amps that would be ideal for a front component and sub setup. The DLS A5 is perfect for the job as it's a 3 channel amp specifically designed for SQ and a small yet punchy setup. However, at £600 new it was way out of my budget so this one was another eBay bargain so fingers crossed it all works OK! The following is from the official DLS website:

ULTIMATE series A5, a three-channel amplifier rated at 2 x 85 Watts in stereo an 1 x 300 Watts in mono. In two ohm load it delivers 2 x 100 Watts in stereo and 1 x 500 Watts in mono. The mono channel is 1 ohm stable. Built-in fan control. Built-in, variable 50-125 Hz switchable high-pass filter and a 40 - 90 Hz low-pass filter for subwoofers. The sub channel is also equipped with a disconnectable 25 Hz subsonic filter.
